15 Apr Yen & Curtis {William Aiken House}
Gone are the days of playing it safe–– your wedding is your one chance to pull out all the stops, to take risks, and to turn heads. And from what I’ve seen of how Yen and Curtis’ Big Day at the William Aiken House unfolded, the thigh’s the limit! Yen’s couture gown by Ines Di Santo with its thigh-high slit, frothy ivory lace underlay, and crisscross sweetheart bodice is cause for a first and a second look. Tim Willoughby captured its graceful movement and va va voom factor as Yen strode across the home’s porch; I can’t even begin to imagine how wowed her guests felt when she walked down the aisle. And then there were all the fem florals, vibrant punches of pink and sage green from Out of the Garden’s peony and lamb’s ear floral arrangements that contrasted ever so beautifully with the neutral linens throughout the setting.The couple capitalized on their love of all things bold and nibbled the night away with a gilded three-tiered fondant cake by Fish, and wrapped things up with a sparkler send-off. For this wedding, It appears that all that glitters is, in fact, gold. Congratulations, Yen and Curtis on your showstopper of a day!
