16 Sep Whitney {Bridal Portrait}
Ever since she was a little girl, Columbia-native Whitney dreamed of having her bridal portraits taken in downtown Charleston. When the day came, she and Cola photographer Holly Graciano hit the road and made the short trip to down I-26 to make her fantasy a reality. Whitney’s bouquet of pink roses, dusty miller, and cream hydrangeas from Rosewood Florist gave just the right amount of garden-fresh romance to her classic look—a fitted lace gown paired with an elegant updo. I, for one, especially love the statement necklace she wore in some of her shots. What a great way to try out bridal accessory options for the Big Day! Just gorgeous. And, it turns out that it’s a lot like how we shoot fashion stories at Charleston Weddings; we always try looks “with and without” (that’s our catchphrase for the swap-out) bolder pieces to see which we like better in a finished photo. When you brides try the same for portraits, it gives you more options in the images you ultimately chose to frame or print for your album. Sometimes you just don’t know your favorite look till you see it in a photo. Great stuff, Whitney!
