20 Feb Whitney & Alex {Lowndes Grove Plantation}
Get ready for a wedding that radiates simple elegance and boatloads of Southern charm. Whitney and Alex’s wedding day began with a touching “first look” on the front lawn of Lowndes Grove Plantation, one of the loveliest wedding venues on the Charleston peninsula. After tying the knot MUSC’s St. Luke’s Chapel, the newlyweds hopped into a vintage Rolls Royce and headed back to the plantation where Kala of MOD Events had brought Whitney’s dreams to life. Each place card (all handwritten by Whitney’s mom) was adorned with a little cotton bowl posey, a theme repeated throughout the event in everything from Whitney’s lovely bouquet to the table arrangements set in antique silver tea sets. How lovely! After some more sun-kissed portraits on the dock with photographer Dana Cubbage, the happy couple dined on a delicious meal by Fish Restaurant and danced the night away to the sounds of Soul Fish. When it was time for the evening to draw to a close, Whitney gathered her Gown Boutique of Charleston dress, took her hubby’s hand, and ran through a tunnel of sparklers to their getaway boat at the end of the dock. We must say, there isn’t one bit of this wedding that we’re not completely head over heels for!
