07 Oct Vanessa & Josh {William Aiken House}
This “Wedding Wednesday” we’re getting schooled in the art of winter wedding loveliness thanks to a dreamy affair at the William Aiken House. Planned and designed last December by Pure Luxe Bride, Vanessa and Josh’s nuptials prove that a combination of cream, blush, and blue can make the perfect cold weather palette. Here’s how the day went down: After the couple said their vows in front of the garden pergola, the bride donned a stunning fur stole, took her hubby by the hand, and followed photographer Alice Keeney outside the property through downtown for a series of romantic portraits. While they meandered, guests explored the historic home, where tables had been set with vintage pink and gold china, silk napkins, and custom printed menus listing a scrumptious dinner-to-be from Patrick Properties Hospitality Group. After the couple joined everyone and enjoyed the repast, all headed back outside where the courtyard was tented and draped in billowing white fabric, lit with crystal chandeliers, and made irresistible with Branch Design Studio’s lush arrangements of hydrangeas, soft pink garden roses, dusty miller, and silver brunia berries. As if that weren’t enough, towering arrangements of curly willow dripping with crystals and bedecked in white orchid blossoms perched like icy sculptures on console tables between Snyder’s white lounge pieces. And it doesn’t get much cuter than the “Do not disturb” tags guests took back to their hotels, which featured the warning “We’re recovering from Vanessa and Josh’s wedding.” Bravo and congratulations all around!
