22 Apr Sophie & Alex {Cassina Point Plantation}
Wedding Wednesday is in full swing here on TWR thanks to Sophie and Alex’s romantic Edisto Island nuptials. With Karson Photography behind the lens, every bit of their elegant affair designed by The Burlap Elephant was captured and we couldn’t be happier. Sophie donned a timeless sleeveless gown, jeweled Badgely Mischka pumps, and a flowing veil to marry her beau in the charming Presbyterian Church on Edisto Island along side her troop of bridesmaids clad in charcoal-colored gowns and flower girls wearing the sweetest of floral crowns. The reception, which took place at Cassina Point Plantation, featured sweeping views of the red-roofed plantation home and a Sperry tent overflowing with gorgeous design elements like cross-back chairs, mahogany stained farm tables adorned with gold sequin runners, garlands of eucalyptus, and plenty of blooms. Sophie and Alex, self-declared lovers of desserts, treated their guests to a traditional French croquembouche cake, truffles, and chocolates from Christophe Artisan Chocolatier––yum! Congrats to the newlyweds and a big merci for sharing your beautiful wedding with all of us.
