10 Oct Shannon & Dan {Patriots Point Links}
Hellllllo, Friday! We’re capping off this pretty pretty week with a wedding for the ages. Shannon and Dan, who have been together since high school, fell in love with Charleston while he was studying at the Citadel, so when the time came for them to select a wedding destination, they knew they wanted to celebrate in the Holy City. The ladies of Sweetgrass Social & Event Design worked tirelessly transforming a tent erected at Patriots Point Links in Mount Pleasant into the preppy and romantic masterpiece that you’ll see in the beautiful images by Jamie Clayton. Pink peonies, garden roses, and dusty miller spilled from mercury glass vessels atop navy damask table runners that echoed the motifs used throughout the printed materials by Scotti Cline Designs. Shannon says that one of her favorite moments of the day was the final song played by Epic Charleston, “Piano Man” by Billy Joel, as the couple always sing it with friends when midnight strikes at their annual New Years party. “Singing our hearts out was just a happy, perfect ending to what really was our perfect wedding,” Shannon says. We couldn’t agree more!
