24 Feb Sarah & Trey {Old Exchange Building}
Though today’s bride and groom hail from the Midwest, there is Southern charm in spades in this sweet DIY wedding. After Sarah and Trey’s beautiful ceremony at First Baptist Church of Charleston downtown, they headed to their reception in true Holy City fashion—by horse and carriage. The bride says to have that alone time together after their vows was one of the best decisions they made, but the couple’s good ideas didn’t stop there. Cue antique glass cake stands from the mother of the groom, vintage books from the mother of the bride’s personal collection, mint julep cups filled with soft pink-, green-, and cream-colored blooms, and it was a gorgeous family affair. Special thanks to Jen Smith of Carolina Photosmith who captured it all so well so all the rest of us wedding crashers can enjoy the day!
