11 May Sarah & Chris {Fenwick Hall Plantation}
Sarah and Chris kicked off their wedding day by preparing at Zero George, both one of the city’s most beloved B&Bs and the Charleston base of Easton Events (the group who masterfully planned the couple’s nuptials). Once Sarah’s gown was on and her bouquet in hand, she and Chris made their way to John’s Island’s Fenwick Hall Plantation, where a small ceremony awaited them. Mahogany slatted chairs were adorned with lush garlands of eucalyptus and roses, while large white planters overflowing with more colorful blooms flanked the altar space––trust me, it just doesn’t get much dreamier than this, darlings. Thankfully, the couple said “I do” just before the skies opened up, leaving them just enough time to snap some breathtaking portraits with Leigh Webber and hop in a vintage car to head to their reception at one of their favorite dining spots downtown, Poogan’s Porch. Once guests found their escort card––each one tucked behind a peony bloom––everyone made their way into the dining room where the ladies of Easton had simply outdone themselves. Elegant taupe and ivory linens offset tablescapes of lush florals by Charleston Stems, glowing candles, and place settings featuring little posies reminiscent of the groom’s boutonniere. Trust us, you’re going to want to pin every pretty bit of this intimate Southern wedding!
