30 Mar Runway {Charleston Weddings Spring Bridal Show}
Today we are taking you back to where it all started for TWR, the runway. Just a year ago The Wedding Row made it’s debut at the 2010 Charleston Weddings Magazine Spring Bridal Show and we are celebrating by bringing you a massive spread from the 2011 runways where eight collections featuring seven designers with original works took the stage. The entire experience of the Charleston Weddings Magazine Spring Bridal Show was intoxicating, from the gorgeous decor by Gathering Event + Floral Design to the feast of treats and the fabubous vendors as the sounds of the Charleston Virtuosi float through the air. After a refreshing beverage from the barkeeps, the lights dimmed as the models took center stage.
One the highlights of the show was Belle Couture Bridal {now Fabulous Frocks} showing off their Thread bridesmaid collection with pops of color and bejeweled lashes. The bridesmaid dresses perfectly paired with the custom gowns of Kira Elizabeth Designs. The parade of couture came to a crescendo with the combined runway of two wedfabulous power houses, Maddison Row and Bella Bridesmaid who brought along Carol Hannah and and her deigns too! The runway was filled with amazing wedding gowns and picture perfect bridesmaid attire. The show stopper was the one of a kind Carol Hannah black gown with its feathered raven’s wing. A masterpiece that is currently on display at Maddsion Row for two weeks!

A few Words from Melissa Bigner for Charleston Magazine’s Fashion Statement…
….”Everyone got an eyeful. Eight shows with seven designers showing original works. Highlights included the intricate handwork of Kira Elizabeth Designs, Callie Tein’s prim Audrey Hepburn stylings, YoYo’s ode to the 1970s with updated Farrah gowns, Alena Fede’s innovative fabrics, and Carol Hannah’s show-stopping black gown with its feathered raven’s wing. Featured Designer Heidi Elnora introduced us to her classic silhouettes, but turned on spring when she dressed her models ’dos with fresh dogwood blooms and branches; as the show progressed, their halos got larger and larger till the last model was as much druid as she was bride. Consider the spring wedding season officially open!…”
