14 May Rachel & Bennett {Harborside East}
Today’s dose of lovely comes from college sweethearts, Rachel and Bennett’s charming Lowcountry wedding. In August of 2013, Rachel and Bennett were out for a regular cruise around the Mount Pleasant waterways in his little boat when he surprised her with not only a proposal but also a family- and friend-filled party when they docked—so sweet! Their love of the local waters inspired the wedding day in everything from the color palette of tan, white, and soft blues, to the custom bow ties for the groom and his men made of fabric printed with Charleston waterway maps. After their beautiful ceremony at St. Andrews Church in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant, the party headed across Shem Creek and made camp at Harborside East for a reception filled with beautiful blooms by Branch Design Studio, yummy bites from Hamby’s Catering, and even a cigar bar. When it was time to leave, Rachel and Bennett ran through a tunnel of sparklers to a vintage red convertible and drove off into the night officially as husband and wife! Congrats to this sweet couple and thank you for sharing your beautiful day and love story with us.
