19 Mar Patricia & Zach | Gibbes Museum of Art
It’s hard to say anyone deserves anything in life—good or bad—but in the case of Patricia and Zach, we think most everyone would agree that these two really and truly deserve a good turn and their own grand Big Day. Here’s the thing, the pair moved from high-powered jobs in New York City (he on Wall Street and she in real estate) to running ChemoCars, a ride service that uses Uber and Lyft to help cancer patients get to their chemotherapy appointments. The idea came about when Zach and his family were side-by-side with his mom, Gloria, as she fought cancer in Charlotte, North Carolina; while sitting with her during treatments, he noticed many others had trouble getting to the hospital. Though Gloria tragically succumbed to the disease within weeks, Zach and Patricia have kept growing ChemoCars, and wedded amid all the upheaval and changes. Today’s post shares the joy of their special day at the Gibbes Museum of Art, lovingly captured by Heather Payne. Enjoy this little peek into their lives, and join us with wishing them the absolute best; deservedly. And click here for more on ChemoCars.
