13 Jan Nahila & Bernard {Middleton Place}
Newlyweds Nahila and Bernard’s Big Day is bringing the heat and flavor to our Friday morning. The duo, who live in Miami but are from Nicaragua (him) and Venezuela (her), along with Mac & B Events planned the ultimate destination wedding, staying true to their South American roots while treating guests to a healthy dose of Southern hospitality. After exchanging vows during the most regal of downtown ceremonies—Nahila is giving off some serious Kate Middleton vibes, don’t you think?—guests, the wedding party, and the happy couple met for specialty cocktails in the Octagonal Gardens of the lush, historic Middleton Place, then enjoyed a seated lunch in the floral-dressed Pavilion. From there, the celebration continued with a seven-hour-long dance party (oh yes, you read that right) complete with confetti cannons, masks, wigs, and Latin music. To cool down, guests fanned themselves with handheld paper fans bedecked with art drawn by Nahila’s mother, adding an extra dose of special to this larger than life Big Day. Kudos to Aaron & Jillian Photography for capturing all the fabulous fun!
