12 Apr Melissa & Sam | The Governor Thomas Bennett House
Melissa and Sam met through a mutual friend during happy hour at The Royal American; little did they know that popular downtown dive would someday be the site of their engagement photos. The two, who initially bonded over their love of Downton Abbey that first night, met up again at the annual Charleston City Paper’s “Best of Charleston” party, and from there kicked off a relationship. As for their Big Day at The Governor Thomas Bennett House, from starting off with a sweet first look that brought tears and laughter (just check out those shots from Taylor Rae), to a cookie bar (yep!) from Brown’s Court Bakery, we can’t get enough. Get this: There was even a “celebrity” guest appearance from the College of Charleston mascot, Clyde the Cougar, who danced with alums like Sam. Happy pinning, brides!
