24 Jul Megan & Rick | The Gadsden House
Megan and Rick met through a mutual friend in Washington, D.C. After two years of dating, Rick popped the question while they were in Paris for an almost-joint birthday (they were born one day apart) trip. Sound charming? We thought so, too.
Listen to Megan describe the Parisian proposal: “I got in my night clothes and was ready to enjoy some bubbles before bed, I walked out to the living room area and there were champagne flutes and a handmade flip book that said, ‘What’s your favorite French word?’ on the cover. Rick handed me the book and inside there were French words for ‘beautiful,’ ‘smart,’ ‘charming,’ ‘funny,’ and some other adjectives. The second to last page said, ‘You are all of these things, but what about …’ and the last page said, ‘Fiancée?’ ”
Major props, Rick! There’s good reason it’s nicknamed the “City of Love,” huh? For their wedding, the D.C. residents traveled to Charleston for more romance a la “I do’s” at The Gadsden House and we have the Dana Cubbage Weddings photos to prove it. Soak up their joy amid the space beautifully designed by the team at Chancey Charm, and congrats to the happy couple!
