Although Megan and Phillip dated briefly the summer after they graduated (she from the University of South Carolina and he from The Citadel), the two lost touch when Megan moved to North Carolina. Nine years later, they reconnected as New Yorkers, and, as she says, “It wasn’t long before we both knew each other was ‘The One.’” A year and a half after they became “official”, Phillip surprised his bride-to-be by popping the question chez nous with candles, flowers, and champagne. “I can’t even remember exactly what he said other than, ‘Will you marry me?’ because I was in shock,” Megan tells us. Since her dream wedding consisted a day full of “Southern elegance,” the newly engaged sweeties called up the team at Sweetgrass Social and booked a spot at The William Aiken House—because you can’t get any more Southern and elegant than that! Cheers to another stunner and absolute best wishes to the newlyweds.
