After meeting on New Year’s Eve 16 years ago, Megan and Mike reconnected in 2014 and launched themselves into a relationship. Since they both love Charleston and the outdoors, it was only appropriate that after they got engaged the two would tie the knot at the beautiful Magnolia Plantation and Gardens off Highway 61. One of my favorite takeaways was how the two met before the ceremony in front of a vintage pink Volkswagen bus from Lowcountry Valet Shuttle Co. while the fab team at Riverland Studios snapped portraits. Doesn’t it make you want to rent one, too? (On a practical note, the bus was used to transport guests… in case you needed a justification for the “prop.”) After the two exchanged vows underneath picture-perfect swags of Spanish moss, everyone meandered to the carriage house to celebrate. Thanks to the talented work by Erin Horton of Ooh! Events, the exposed beams in the structure took on an elegant air with a glowing chandelier and draped swaths of white fabric–how beautiful! Here’s hoping you enjoy the happy couple’s beautiful Big Day as much as we did.
