04 Jan Meg & Danny {McLeod Plantation}
See that incredible bouquet above? Well, it tells quite a story. Beautiful bride Meg is a wildlife biologist who studied for her masters in South Africa where the national flower is the King Protea. So for her wedding, Charleston Flower Market wove together a bouquet featuring it and other unexpected natural elements like antlers and pheasant feathers as well as classics like peonies and astilbe. The result? Well, we’re quite obsessed! And the rest of Meg and Danny’s wedding at McLeod Plantation was just as inspiring with more design elements pulled from nature like the gentlemen’s Brackish Bow Ties, hand-carved centerpieces, and an oak tree motif cake by Jim Smeal. After guests were treated to a scrumptious tapas-style spread by Loosh Catering and an evening of dancing, it was time for these nature-loving newlyweds cap off a perfect day by bolting through a sparkler sendoff. Congratulations, Meg and Danny, and thanks for the inspiration!
