17 Nov Mary & Bob {Private Residence}
Goodness, y’all, are you in for one major beauty of a Big Day with one serious Charleston accent! Mary and Bob wed at her parents’ South of Broad home in a sweet ceremony overlooking the garden pool. It being a true family affair, the bride’s brother escorted her down the aisle and her uncle married them. After the “I dos” the party got started with cocktails on the piazza from ICEBOX, which was followed by an al fresco dinner that had guests nestled at flower-ridden tables scattered throughout the walled garden. When everyone had had their fill, the celebration migrated to King Street’s The Mezz, a jazz bar above Sermet’s, where Mary and Bob had flown in one of their favorite bands from San Francisco—the Monophonics. With loud music, good company, dancing and plenty of reason to celebrate, Mary and Bob partied the night away in true downtown fashion. Extra special thanks to one of our former Charleston magazine photo interns, Elizabeth Fay, who shot this wedding with her love, life, and work partner, Sean Money.
