Today’s love story began with a chat on the dating app OkCupid that led to Liz and Thomas actually meeting in Greenville, South Carolina. Flash forward a couple years and Thomas had planned a surprise trip to Charleston, including a proposal at Boone Hall Plantation and a celebratory dinner at Oak Steakhouse. Bravo, Thomas. Given all that local romance, it’s only fitting that Liz and Thomas continued their Charleston story with a wedding at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens. They began their Big Day with a first look in the hedge maze garden, then said ‘I do’ on the Carriage House lawn overlooking the Ashley River. (Don’t you just love the sky blue Dessy bridesmaids’ dresses and how they paired with those bouquets of ferns, eucalyptus, and colorful blooms?) Inside, the reception hall was dolled up with palmetto roses at each place setting, greenery hung from the chandeliers, and centerpieces of Juliet garden roses, ranunculus, and greenery from Duvall Events. Congratulations, Liz and Thomas—we’re so happy that Charleston has gotten to play such a role in your love story!
