28 Oct Lauren & Joe {Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation}
For today’s Wedding Wednesday, we have a treat for you, one overflowing with prettiness thanks to its super stylish bride, garden-style bouquets, and so many sweet personal details. Our little wedding-loving hearts have been pitter-patting overtime all morning. Lauren, who grew up visiting her grandparents in Charleston, married Joe in a lovely ceremony at Trinity United Methodist officiated by her own father, a military chaplain who had just returned from a tour in Afghanistan. Afterward, Lauren picked up the hem of her swoon-worthy Tara Keely gown and her bouquet of white peonies and seeded eucalyptus (made by her best friend!) and led the party to the Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation. There, photographer Julia Wade snapped breathtaking portraits of the newlyweds, some in which Lauren even donned a plaid riding jacket over her gown. (Look close and you can see how Joe’s tie matched her cover-up perfectly.) In the rustic reception space, long banquet tables were draped in deep blue linens and lined with simple décor like silver teapots and pineapples. Of course, the party wouldn’t have been complete without a yummy cake (this one baked by Lauren’s grandma) and plenty of tunes provided by TWR vendor, Pinnacle Light + Sound. A big congrats to the happy couple and thank you for letting us share your inspirational day!
p.s. We loved Lauren’s look so much, it inspired our parent magazine, Charleston Weddings, to create this issue’s bridal fashion shoot with all sorts of jackets, stoles, and layers.
