Weddings come in all shapes and sizes. Some are large-scale plantation affairs, some are formal ballroom varieties, and then there are the more intimate kind, like Laura and Ross’s Kiawah Island celebration, designed so artfully by A Charleston Bride. Brimming with an air of relaxed romance, the day’s celebration started with a waterfront ceremony. Afterward, guests walked together over a boardwalk to a private residence where they dined alfresco on the home’s wraparound porches. Richard Israel captured the sweet day, and some of our favorite images are his portraits of the bride in her tea-length gown among the palms and amid the natural beauty of the grounds. Stumbling across little gems like this one sure does make writing for TWR so exciting.
