09 Mar Katie & Miles {Historic Rice Mill}
Although Katie and Miles grew up just seven miles apart (and attended rival high schools) they didn’t meet until years later in Raleigh when they were introduced one night by mutual college friends. After some singing, a little dancing, and a lot of conversation where they discovered their common passion for the Carolina Panthers, sparks flew. Later on, after Miles proposed to Katie with Panther’s season tickets (and a diamond ring), they began planning their Charleston wedding with the talented ladies of Sweetgrass Social. Set at the Historic Rice Mill, Katie and Miles’ big day took shape with a lovely palette of magenta, gold and cream with touches of sparkle here and there. Thank goodness Leigh Webber was there to capture all the beautiful blooms from Branch Design Studio, delicious bites from Good Food Catering, and scads of romantic portraits of the bride and groom. As the sun sank over the marina, Plane Jane turned up the volume and lead the newlyweds and their guests in a fabulous dance party before Katie and Miles hopped into a vintage ride and drove away into the night. Congratulations to this adorable couple!
