At TWR we LOVE a love story and Katie was gracious enough to share her and Jamie’s…..
“…Jamie and I were engaged on July 20, 2010. The story: Summer of 2010 I spent six weeks abroad studying and traveling with Penn State’s Dickinson School of Law. After seeing the sights in the Netherlands and Luxembourg, tasting the chocolates and beer in Belgium, enjoying the wine in France, and watching the world cup in Germany, I began my trek back to Charleston, South Carolina. After a very long flight from Amsterdam, I was walking through the Atlanta International Airport to catch my connecting flight to Charleston. I had just spoken to Jamie on the phone whereupon he told me he would be at the Charleston airport to pick me up. We had a fun night ahead of us, Modest Mouse at the Music Farm!! After changing terminals, I was walking down a long hall, and suddenly out of no where, a man was walking very close to me and was reaching out to me. Startled, and a bit defensive after weeks of guarding myself and my belongings across Europe, I looked up and saw my handsome and excited boyfriend. He said he was there to surprise me, but I didn’t realize to what extent he was about to surprise me! In a secluded area of the Atlanta International Airport, the love of my life asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes!..”
