07 Jan Katie & Ben {Historic Rice Mill}
This military groom wasn’t the only one in dress blues at today’s Charleston wedding—check out bride Katie’s navy embellished heels! Katie, a Georgia gal, said “I do” to her fiancé, Ben, and then lead their guests to a perfectly planned party by Pure Luxe Bride at the Historic Rice Mill. “Our biggest priority was to let our guests kick back and have some fun,” Katie told us, a goal they most certainly accomplished with fun details like wedding bingo during cocktail hour, a comfortable lounge area overlooking the harbor, and of course, a night of dancing to the sounds of The Charleston Groove Factory. Sugar Bakeshop was in charge of the yummy and beautiful dessert spread which included their famous blueberry sugar-dusted and red velvet mini cupcakes. Yum! After a night of celebrating, in honor of the groom’s one-and-only must-have request, Katie gathered up her gown, slipped on her leather jacket and waved goodbye to their family and friends and photographer Jennifer Bearden from the back of Ben’s Harley Davidson motorcycle.
