26 Jul Julie & David {South Carolina Society Hall}
Although last October’s 1,000-year-flood put a serious damper on Julie and David’s wedding day plans, they proved that there was more love in the air than rain. Not quite a believer? Check out these beautiful photos! To start the day, the couple exchanged vows in a candlelit ceremony at Grace Episcopal Church, surrounded by a small gathering of family and friends who had braved the storm. The hardy, adventurous souls then headed to a reception in the (three stories above ground) ballroom at the South Carolina Society Hall. There, the storm was forgotten amid tablescapes of gold chargers, navy napkins, and seeded eucalyptus runners. Eli’s Table and Caviar & Bananas saw to to scrumptious meal and it truly was a festive, ebullient occasion. And though Julie and David’s joy was apparent on the true Big Day, they still opted for a sunny day makeup portrait session with Jenna Marie Weddings—smart move! For those images, the Mr. & Mrs. simply donned their wedding day duds one more time and spent a day walking the beautiful streets of Charleston posing for romantic shot after shot. It’s pretty clear that they’d only fallen in love more since their wedding day. Cheers to the lovely couple and thank you for sharing both of your special day, wait, make that “days,” with us.
