The temps may be rising down here now that it’s June (how did that happen already?!), so let’s cool off a bit with Julia and Will’s dreamy December wedding at the Creek Club at I’On. Oh how we love that bridal look! Julia’s layered and embellished gown plus that wild bouquet of Juliet garden roses, burgundy dahlias, and eucalyptus was pure perfection. Add in a troop of bridesmaids wearing mix-and-match soft blue gowns and it’s almost too much. From there, Petaloso Floral Studio kept the flower magic coming with the stunning ceremony arbor they crafted to overlook the marshes of the Mount Pleasant clubhouse; those greens, garden roses, protea, and marsala-hued hanging amaranthus—does it get anymore romantic? Thank goodness Caroline Ro was behind the lens to capture all the beauty, sentiments, stolen kisses, magnolia leaf-covered chandeliers, and those sweet little macarons. One last thing: trend alert! Naked cakes have evolved into cakes like Julia and Will’s, with icing dripping off the top. (In fact, Pinterest says “drip cakes” are one of the hottest wedding trends of the year.) Who doesn’t want more sugar? Congratulations, Will and Julia, and thank you for sharing your wedding with all of us.
