22 Jun Jill & Alex {Ocean Course}
Anyone shy about mixing patterns just needs to dive into Jill and Alex’s colorful Big Day for a boost of confidence and mountain of inspiration. Fashioned around a handpainted paper suite to die for, custom patterned linens, eye-catching statement blooms, and Amsale’s blue and white bridesmaids gowns were just a few of the ways patterns spilled throughout this wedding that was lovingly streamlined by A Charleston Bride. (One of our favorite details? The bride’s silver Prada pumps were painted by her pal, puff-paint artist Wonderpuss Octopuss Ink, to turn them into her “something blue.” Seriously. Check. Them. Out.) After a waterfront ceremony, guests dined on the porches of the Ocean Course clubhouse then headed down a path bordered with luminaries to a sailcloth tent where enormous magnolia wreath chandeliers hung above chic lounge areas, a glimmering dance floor, and a swing bed featuring one-of-a-kind throw pillows and linens from the same patterned fabrics used throughout the entire affair—I can hardly handle all of this prettiness and am betting your Pinterest boards are about to score a ton of great ideas. Cheers to the lovely couple and thanks to them and the talented photo team of Sean Money + Elizabeth Fay for sharing such a creative and beautiful day with us!
