12 Dec Jessie & Zan | Charleston Library Society
Jessie and Zan wed among the stacks at the Charleston Library Society, fittingly surrounded by rows of classic romances—and guests, too, of course. After their “I do’s,” everyone gathered in the library’s checkerboarded great room for a family-style dinner of grilled lamb chops, rustic Italian bread, and blistered shishito peppers, among other dishes. (Oh, and props to Margaret Deal of Duvall Events, who managed to eke out such a singular celebration in an unlikely setting.) To break the ice among attendees, Jessie, who’s a teacher (obv), encouraged everyone to pose two questions to their table partners: “Who do you like better, Jessie or Zan?” and “What did you last Google?” And while we are nuts for the bride’s high-low ceremony frock, we’re almost equally smitten with her fringed reception dress. Take a look and see for yourself (thanks amelia + dan photography for the great shots)!
