02 Aug Jessica & Palmer | Magnolia Plantation & Gardens
It all started with a communal porch shared by several apartments in an historic downtown home—that’s where Jessica and Palmer first met and hit it off, and where, years later, he proposed. As if that weren’t romantic enough, the bride’s sister, Tierney, owns Bridal House of Charleston, so you know Jessica’s gown was a dreamboat. On the Big Day, with lavender- and blush-clad bridesmaids at her side, Jessica said “I do” to Palmer at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens in a sweet ceremony that evolved into a black-tie affair on the back lawn of the site’s historic home. There, lush centerpieces of hydrangea, garden roses, and sprigs of Italian ruscus graced tables laden with a scrumptious spread by Duvall Catering and wine from Palmer’s family’s vineyard. And in spite the roaring summer temps, the dance floor stayed full all evening long thanks to the tunes of The Root Doctors—and perhaps those popsicles from King of Pops!
