What if I were to tell you that this wedding was inspired by butter? You know, that key ingredient in every Southern recipe … the one that’s a beautiful soft yellow, warm-toned and smooth, and makes everything taste better? Well, Jessica and Jason’s incredible wedding at the Sanctuary on Kiawah Island started on that sweet note and A Charleston Bride saw their Big Day from buttery palette concept to reality in fabulous fashion. But first, the vows. Jessica and Jason shared a breathtaking open air ceremony on the oceanfront lawn of the resort. Then the new newlyweds stole away for post-wedding portraits with photographer Ashley Seawell before joining their guests in Sanctuary’s ballroom for their reception. That space was another breathtaker, one filled with luxe florals of white peonies, garden roses, and hypericum berries and gold mercury glass votives all atop specialty damask linens. Note those warm buttery tones everywhere—yum! For another special touch, Jessica and Jason opted out of a traditional guestbook and instead had their loved ones sign a beautiful vintage-style map of Charleston for them to hang in their home. After seeing this gorgeous day, needless to say, if “butter” trends in weddings, I am 100 percent in! Cheers to the darling couple!
