Tampa, Florida, residents Jenny and Mike met at work. After three years of dating, she walked in their house after long day, to find him kneeling amidst a sea of red rose petals and candles, proposal at the ready. (And the timing? Sublime, as they were about to leave for a weekend in Atlanta to see all of Jenny’s friends from Florida State University.) Since Jenny is originally from Florida and Mike is from Ohio, the two chose Magnolia Plantation & Gardens for their nuptials not only because they fell in love with the Southern charm of Charleston, but also because it’s a halfway meeting point for their family and friends to travel to. But even though they weren’t on home turf, they included plenty of hints at their roots. Just take a look at those neat welcome bags filled with Kentucky bourbon that Mike, a grad of the University of Kentucky (Go Big Blue!), thought to add.
