03 Dec Jenn & Ryan {Old Wide Awake Plantation}
On the banks of the Stono River sits Old Wide Awake Plantation, a red-roofed Southern manse boasting wraparound porches, stunning Lowcountry views and more live oaks that you can count. Cue Jenn and Ryan, today’s lovely couple, who tied the knot at said plantation in the prettiest of fashions. After exchanging vows in a beautiful ceremony overlooking the water, Jenn and Ryan led their guests to a tented reception with décor inspired by the natural beauty around them. Long mahogany farm tables were graced with lace runners and simple floral arrangements of hydrangea, magnolia leaves, moss, and peachy pink roses that echoed the hue of the bridesmaids dresses perfectly. After dining on delicious eats like a biscuit bar by Café Catering and dancing the night away under the bistro lights, the happy couple scooted down the steps of the plantation house through a tunnel of sparklers and drove away in a vintage white convertible. Whew—this Jennifer Bearden soirée was just what our Wednesday needed!
