12 Nov Holly & Joe {Brookland Pointe}
Mount Pleasant residents Holly and Joe are big on nostalgia. The two, who met on a blind date, selected Brookland Pointe on Edisto Island for their wedding in big part because the groom grew up visiting the sea island south of Charleston. On the day itself, Holly was led down the aisle on the arm of her nephew, and by night’s end she and Joe drove off into the night in his dad’s vintage red Bronco—which he’d purchased before Joe was even born. We love the way family touches this couple! As for the photos here? Get ready to soak up beauty in spades. After the ceremony, photographer Amy-Marie Kay spirited the couple away onto the oak-scattered grounds for a series of stunning portraits. Following that session came a reception that was an all-out party loaded with sumptuous food, a beautiful cake covered in three-tiers of blooms, and Charleston’s own Plane Jane who got every man, woman, and child on the dance floor. Family, fun, and fabulous photos for the next scrapbook—great stuff all around.
