06 Feb Grace & Kyle {Private Residence}
Though they first courted as students at Washington and Lee University, Columbia native Kyle returned to his home state post-graduation to attend MUSC and sadly parted ways with Grace, of Louisiana. Two years later, Kyle phoned Grace and invited her to visit Charleston. “With lots of nerves and excitement, I flew to town,” says Grace, “and it was like a day hadn’t passed.” When she graduated, she followed her beau’s footsteps and moved to the Holy City, too. Three years later, Kyle proposed on Wild Dunes’ fishing docks, which Grace says “definitely made up for not catching any fish,” and with the help of Southern Protocol, they planned a John’s Island wedding. With floral patterned robes, personalized totes, and Stems’ soft-toned bouquets, Gayle Brooker’s snaps of Grace’s gals leave this blogger longing to have been included in the bridesmaid bunch, while the cocktail bar and aisle entrance (check it out!) has me simply wishing I was a guest. Part of the crew, the crowd, or not, we’re giddy to share this beautiful day!
