Sean still remembers the first day he saw Francesca: it was the fall of their freshman year at the University of Virginia and he was sitting on a bench when he spotted a beautiful brunette in a white dress across the quad. Too shy to introduce himself, he Facebook-stalked her instead and throughout the year kept seeing her from afar at Greek events. The day before summer break, fate intervened and they met through a mutual friend. That fall the two reunited and have been an item ever since. While she’s from D.C. and he’s from Charleston, the latter won out for their wedding vows. The two wed at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church downtown and celebrated after at a private downtown waterfront club. Since Francesca loves a classic combo—navy and white—their coordinator created a reception space full of blue linens, white florals from Branch Design Studio, and gold décor accents. The newlyweds spend their free time today trying new restaurants, traveling, and taking care of their black lab, Bubba. “I wouldn’t want to live this crazy life (nor raise Bubba) with anyone else,” says Sean.
