When it came time for DC couple, Emily and Craig, to begin planning their wedding, the choice of celebrating in Charleston came easily. Not only is it “the best city in the world” (so says Travel + Leisure this month), but Craig’s sister Tiffany is one of the wedding masterminds at the uber-chic planning group Loluma. With Tiffany’s expertise, Emily and Craig created a lavender-hued affair with thoughtful and unique details throughout. The ceremony, which took place at the beautiful former Carolina Hotel on Broad Street, featured a chemistry-themed unity service of the likes we’ve never seen on TWR. Confused? Take a peek at the shots and it becomes clear. After the two retreated down the aisle as husband and wife, the celebration headed to nearby No. 5 Faber in the French Quarter where farm tables were lined with vintage white dining chairs and adorned with silver candelabras that spilled over with purple blooms like roses, stock, and fragrant stems of lavender. With Clay Austin there to document every beautiful bit and DJ Natty Heavy to make sure every seat was empty (and the dance floor was full), we think it’s safe to say that Emily and Craig’s destination wedding in the Holy City was a dreamy success.
