06 Jun Emily & Chris | The Wickliffe House
Although their love story began in Charleston with a chance meeting at The Brick on Ann Street, Emily and Chris spent most of their six-year courtship living in separate cities before the two finally decided to settle together back here where it all started. One day Chris gave Emily a tour of the home he was building, and when he took her upstairs she saw “Will you marry me?” spray painted on the floor. True to their roots, they celebrated with nachos and beer. Their wedding day captured that same perfect blend of casual and endearing romance and Revival Photography captured it all in splendid fashion. The couple exchanged vows in one of the stately parlors of The Wickliffe House before inviting their guests to an open-air reception on the front lawn of the downtown manor, circa 1850. Amidst the revelry, the pair snuck away for newlywed portraits that showcased Emily’s ah-mazing Carol Hannah gown and their charming love for one another. From the garland-wrapped cake to the tall farm tables surrounding the dance floor to the sparkler exit, this Charleston affair just makes our hearts all warm. Cheers, Emily and Chris! Way to show us how laid back love can be so easy, breezy, and beautiful.
