Forget your traditional American love story because Elizabeth and Henry’s romance is proof that meeting “the one” can occur in the most unexpected places—try Kenya, in this case. The couple became a couple after running into each other while in the Peace Corps in Africa; after their service ended, they returned together to the Lowcountry, where Henry has roots. In time, he popped the question and soon after, they hired Ooh! Events to tie two worlds—Africa and the South—seamlessly together in one original wedding day. We just absolutely adore the Southern charm of the palette, the beautiful Spanish moss, and Mason jars paired with tribal décor elements and Duvall Catering’s gorgeous groom’s cake, too. As fantastic as the trappings were, Elizabeth starred as the main attraction in her ornate Hayley Paige gown, silver embellished heels, and gorgeous metallic headband. With Paper Dolls working their hair and makeup magic, Bunn DJ setting the soundtrack, and Riverland Studios snapping the memories of a lifetime, this is one stylish and heartfelt intimate celebration. It just doesn’t get any better than this!
