25 Mar Décor & Details {Spring Bridal Show}
And now for Part Deux of the Spring Bridal Show 2014 coverage— details and décor. We say it every year, but really, this year was the most beautiful show we’ve seen. Heather Barrie of Gathering Events above and beyond when owner-designer Heather Barrie flipped the Charleston Fashion Week tent in a matter of hours, taking it from club-style to a romantic garden setting fit for brides. Inspired by the the overgrown floral fashion shoot she collaborated on in the March issue of Charleston magazine, she dressed a dining table, lounge area, and various nooks in bountiful blooms; oversized planters flanked the Spike bars; and what was a techno LED screen surrounding the catwalk during the nightly fashion shows became a vine-covered frame resplendent with copious hydrangea blossoms.With the feminine and romantic atmosphere officially set, attendees filled in and flocked from booth to booth sampling delicious (and pretty) eats from Cupcake downsouth, B. Gourmet Catering, Hamby Catering & Events, and DeClare Cakes. Oh, and we can’t forget the our friends at Brackish Bow Ties and Bridal House of Charleston for showing off (respectively) their handsome and sparkly accessories. To think that all of this sampling and shopping was followed by seven outrageously beautiful runway shows is almost too much. Almost!
Check our galleries throughout the week as we continue to add more and more images from a beautiful week full of bridal events. With such a strong kick off to spring, we can’t wait to see what the rest 2014 has to offer the Charleston Weddings Magazine and TWR team…
