14 Jun Courtney and Jack :: April 2010 {The Rehearsal Oyster Roast}
Let’s be honest, I could talk about weddings all day long…they are one of my favorite topics. When I look back at my own wedding, I remember how much I adored the rehearsal party. It was so relaxing and gave me and my sweet fiance the chance to truly converse with our guests. It was a time to savor not only the food but also our dear friends and family. It was a time for toasting the past and future and a time for us to express our sincere gratitude. It was a evening that I will always cherish. I was so excited when I saw these photographs taken by Leigh Webber. I love that Jack and Courtney were so clever and hired a photographer to capture the evening at the Creek Club in I’on.
Leigh kindly shared some details about the celebration….
The Creek Club is right along the Cooper River and there’s a great dock where you can walk out over the water. It’s a great spot to show off the Lowcountry at its finest.
Jack’s sister, who had recently planned her own wedding in France, planned a Lowcountry style oyster roast rehearsal dinner for Courtney and Jack. The weather was perfect for the laid back affair that was held outside for a close group of friends and family. An acoustic guitarist played some tunes and guests enjoyed their drinks and oysters as the sun set over the water. Roasts and toasts followed on the veranda.
“pup”cakes…adorable!!!
