03 Oct Courtland & John {William Aiken House}
We’re tying up this gorgeous week with one more heaping dose of amazing. Texas natives Courtland and John had us speechless the moment we first glanced the incredible images of their “laid-back black-tie” Charleston wedding as captured by Marni Pictures. Ellen Robinson of WED made sure that every thoughtful detail was in place, including statement makers like the multiple lounges spread throughout the courtyard of the William Aiken House house and ivy-covered chandeliers suspended from the tent and over the bars. SYG Designs drove the romantic garden vibe home with organic symphonies of what felt like thousands of white dahlias, garden roses, and calla lilies, not to mention an accompanying chorus of greenery and topiaries. As the sun set the candlelight glowed from every corner of the historic home and grounds creating the most romantic of atmospheres before the party kicked into high gear thanks to the Atlanta Showstoppers. But more beautiful than all of the décor and blooms was Courtland herself, an absolute vision in her three-piece, long-sleeved lace Monique Lhuillier gown. Absolutely stunning!
