16 Oct Claire & Ryan {Magnolia Plantation & Gardens}
Today’s couple might hail from the other side of the Mason-Dixon line, but they knew right away that a relaxed Southern wedding was exactly how they wanted to celebrate the beginning of their marriage. With the ceremony and reception set at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, where towering trees form a canopy over nearly the entire estate, they showcased an oak motif in the invitation suite and programs and kept colors low-key overall. “We wanted to keep things simple and let the venue speak for itself,” says Claire, “so we chose neutral earth-tones such as cream, tan, and pale yellows.” The palette played out beautifully in florals by JW Weddings and Events and in images by Richard Bell Photography. Add that Cru Catering provided guests with a spread including shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, and so much more, and the day was truly a dream. But our absolute favorite detail? Why the hydrangea covered chandeliers, of course!
