21 Apr Christine & Lee {Marion’s in the French Quarter}
Charleston is certainly not short on locales for intimate celebrations, but the combo of the Confederate Home and Marion’s in the French Quarter might be one of our all-time favorites. Christine and Lee felt the same and married in a darling ceremony in front of one of the Confederate Home’s loveliest oaks. (And special cheers to Christine, whose bridal style included an all-white peony bouquet, timeless Vera Wang gown, and lace parasol.) Once the two were pronounced husband and wife, River City Dixieland Band paraded everyone a few blocks away to Unity Alley and Marion’s in the French Quarter for the lively reception. Simple arrangements of white hydrangea and red roses punctuated candlelit tables, while Granville’s Catering offered up a delicious dinner spread. Ashley Bakery topped things off with a dream cake that was followed by dancing that extended late into the evening. Christine and Lee, bravo on your Big Day, and best to you for a happy life!
