When the bride is a former flower designer at Charleston Stems, it’s pretty much a guarantee that her wedding blooms are going to be gorgeous. Well, Christina and John’s wedding at Old Wide Awake Plantation serves up stunning flora for sure, but that’s just the beginning. The mostly DIY wedding was charm personified, with romantic calligraphy script here and there, parasols for ceremony shade, and sweet touches everywhere. And then there was the bride, a vision of lace in her incredible long-sleeved gown. Timeless! And about those blooms; Christina simply told Anne Dabney of Stems she envisioned a day dressed with loose, romantic floral arrangements full of peonies. Not only did Anne deliver with beautiful bouquets of garden roses, greens, and, of course, peonies, but she also surprised the couple with a peony covered arbor for their ceremony.
