28 Mar Casey & Brendan {Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation}
Here’s a gem from one of our own (sort of) to share! Our parent title, Charleston Weddings, has shot fashion with freelance fashion stylist (and Charleston Wedding Week Style Director) Lindsey Nowak for ages, and when we heard her little sister Casey was tying the knot, we crossed our fingers we’d get to share her and Brendan’s Big Day with you. And here it is … Brimming with so many homespun and thoughtful details, and mixed with a heaping dose of couture loveliness (the bride wore a blush-hued Monique Lhuillier gown), it’s a stunner that even our wedding-loving hearts can hardly take in. With Gayle Brooker behind the lens, Lizz Luckhart Designs in charge of design, and Charelston Stems supplying romantic flora, this waterside soirée at Boone Hall Plantation’s Cotton Dock was bound to inspire. (Keep an eye out for all the custom elements, like those amazing handmade chandeliers hanging over the garland-draped dining tables, and the favors—mini oil paintings of marshes by the bride’s mom.) After Casey exchanged vows with Brendan while overlooking the water, they invited guests to join them inside for a reception where Cru Catering whipped up a Southern dinner, and, later DJ Natty Heavy kept the dance floor full until a tunnel of sparklers beckoned the newlyweds to depart. Just wonderful. Congrats, Casey and Brendan … and Lindsey, too!
