05 Dec Caroline & Ronald | The Pavilion at Pepper Plantation
They say you meet “the one” by the time you turn 21 and whether that’s true across the board, it definitely was the case for childhood friends Caroline Sharp and Ronald Cox. After the two North Carolinians lost touch after grade school, the two were reunited at Caroline’s cousin’s Christmas bonfire here in Charleston. That led to a first date to Waffle House (what’s better than sharing an All Star Special with the one you love?), after which the two were inseparable. Later, on a weekend getaway to Winston-Salem, Ronald got down on one knee and popped the big question with Caroline’s mom’s engagement ring. The happy couple celebrated with lunch at a local restaurant and a bucket of ice for Caroline, whose ring finger they now know is apparently almost two sizes bigger than her mother’s. (“Don’t worry, my finger is OK and the ring fits now,” she tells us.) Ronald and Caroline tied the knot at Pavilion at Pepper Plantation on October 29, 2016, and Amelia + Dan Photography tell us the groom shed tears when he saw the love of his life walk down the aisle. Amid a setting of purple hues (thanks to florals from Branch Design Studio and a sea of sparkling jewel-toned décor from Luke Wilson Events), the two celebrated their new chapter with a host of family and friends. We hope you enjoy this Big Day as much as we did!
