When it came time to plan her wedding to her Houston, Texas, honey, Jeffrey, Carli knew exactly what she wanted: A clean, modern design with an abundance of white on white and touches of gold. After seeing their venue, Lowndes Grove Plantation, Carli tells us she was inspired to highlight the riverside site’s historic beauty—not overpower it. To make it so, gilding specialists Pure Luxe Bride stepped in, and with multiple specialty bars (bourbon, cigar, and seafood), a custom C&J monogram, baby pictures of the couple, and Carli’s brother officiating, it was as personal and posh as could be. And on the uber-magical side of things…Amidst the celebration, showers poured down but rather than ruin the day, Carli and Jeffrey said the storming was one of the absolute best parts. And since rain on a Big Day is a sign of fertility, they saved some of the water in the hopes of starting a family. Say what you will, but three months later, Carli was pregnant. And that water? It’s frozen in their fridge, waiting for their baby boy’s baptism. That’s what we call a dream come true!
