17 Nov Carey & Douglas | Cypress Tree Plantation
Tickle us pink—we have the sweetest wedding for you today! Our born-and-bred Greenville, South Carolina, groom, Douglas met a stunning NOLA gal, Carey, at a music festival in The Big Easy. After quickly falling for each other, the two eventually got engaged, and were excited to tie the knot at Cypress Tree Plantation in Edisto. (He had introduced her to his childhood vacation spot and she was equally smitten with it.) Given their meet-cute origins, they knew that music was an important part of their wedding, so they enlisted the jazzy New Orleans-style group the Emerald Empire Band to play throughout the night. They even ended the evening with a traditional second line of “Fire on the Bayou.” Love every last bit of this super Southern affair.
