If you’re like me, the slight autumn chill in the air has you in whole new level of bliss. Well, what better way to keep the cool loveliness comin’ than with Boykin and Thomas’ Charleston cold-weather wedding captured by Charlotte Elizabeth Photography? Planned and designed by Kristin Newman Designs and graciously flowered by the ladies of Gathering Floral & Event Design, this Holy City happening has it all. First, there’s Boykin’s incredible illusion-back Amsale gown from White on Daniel Island, which she wore with a low chignon and a fur stole, and then accented with a green and white bouquet of garden roses, sweet pea, and hellebores. Dreamy! Following their candlelit ceremony at First Scots Presbyterian Church downtown, the party moved a couple blocks down Meeting Street to Hibernian Hall where the Gathering gals had brought in countless armfuls of trailing greenery, which was woven through the grand staircase spindles and front gateway. Add plenty of blooming arrangements both large and small in the historic ballroom and you’ve got a lush winter garden. So go pour another cup of coffee, light that pumpkin-scented candle, and fall in love with every bit of this beautiful affair!
