21 Nov Berna & Chad {Gold Bug Island}
By the time you’re finished soaking up all of the pretty from Berna and Chad’s darling wedding on Gold Bug Island, not only will you be sufficiently inspired, but if you’re like me, you’ll be wishing you had been a guest there yourself. After Berna slipped on her ever-so-pale blush gown and met up with her almost-husband, the wedding party headed from downtown Charleston to Gold Bug Island in a vintage mint bus. Along the way they stopped for photos at favorite spots like the always-beautiful Pitt Street Bridge in the Old Village. Once on the island (which sits between Mount Pleasant and Sullivan’s Island), the couple traded vows and, after the petite bride hopped on a step stool to reach her groom, sealed their “I dos” with a kiss. Forgoing a traditional catered menu, Berna and Chad had rounded up several of their favorite Charleston food trucks for a feast of everything from brick oven pizzas to Vietnamese sandwiches. Yum! Inside the reception space long white farm tables were adorned with candelabras, vintage books, and of course, plenty of blooms. From the eats to the dancing to the photo booth party bus courtesy of Charleston Party Booth, this Wild Cotton Photography wedding will have you inspired all weekend long.
